Welcome to the Asian Festival, a spiritual holiday during which we have a wonderful opportunity to receive practical and inspiring teachings on Modern Buddhism and to enjoy guided meditations in the company of people from throughout Asia.

Medicine Buddha is the embodiment of the healing power of all enlightened beings. His function is to release living beings from outer and inner sickness by bestowing blessings upon them.

At this Festival, Gen-la Kunsang will grant the blessing empowerment of Medicine Buddha and share explanations of the self-generation practice and the prayers to Medicine Buddha, which she herself received directly from her Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.

An empowerment is a guided tantric meditation that harnesses wisdom, imagination and the power of enlightened beings to take us to pure worlds and pure experiences. It bestows upon us special blessings that heal our mental continuum and awakens our Buddha nature.

By sincerely learning and engaging in these powerful healing practices, we can permanently liberate ourself and others from all physical and mental sufferings of this life and countless future lives.
