Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche is a contemporary Buddhist meditation master and holder of the Ganden Oral Lineage of Mahamudra who had pioneered the introduction of modern Buddhism into contemporary society.
Over the last 40 years, besides giving thousands of teachings and granting all the essential Tantric empowerments Venerable Geshe-la, as he is affectionately known, has worked tirelessly to make the practices of modern Buddhism available to people throughout the world, creating a global infrastructure to support their growth and development both now and in the future.
Through his selfless dedication this humble monk has touched the hearts of countless people around the world and helped them to discover a blissful journey to lasting happiness and inner peace.

Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab 圆智法师
The Teacher at the Asian Festival is Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, a principal disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche who holds the lineage and blessings of his teachings. Gen-la is a retired General Spiritual Director who is now the National Spiritual Director for Canada as well as Resident Teacher at KMC Canada.
An ordained Buddhist monk, he has been a disciple of Venerable Geshe-la for 40 years. Gen-la is widely admired for his profound understanding of the teachings of modern Buddhism and his ability to present them in clear, practical ways that are easy to follow and put into practice in the modern world. He regularly teaches at international and national events and is greatly admired for his humility, humour and pure example.
